Humans, sometime equiped with cybernetic enhancements, even if it is often as a replacement limb after a combat. Infantry is mixed (military service is obligatory for every citizen), and federation soldiers are particulary well trained in ground combat, which makes them very effective troopers. A few soldiers have psychic powers, that the federation can use as a secret weapon against their enemies.

Mainly a military organization, with some kind of democracy (the leading officers are elected by the population).This kind of gouvernment make the population very reactive to military loses and lost ships.
